Better than the picture of a quaint NY mews alley is the "Thomas Pynchon"
in-line text link. It takes you to an "alt.culture" site featuring a
College-days (me-thinks) half-smiling Pynch. Part of the short bio states:
"Pynchon's carefully guarded privacy has made him the subject of many
extreme rumors, including that he was the Unibomber and that he was writing
letters to a California newspaper under the pseudonym Wanda Tinasky."
Has anyone ever investigated whether the nefarious Wanda threw anything
other than editorial bombs?
But off to the right is an alphabetically-ordered list of artist-links for
this site. TRP falls smack between "punk" and "Queen Latifah." I think
he'd be proud of this.
