Other examples of logocentrism that might have interested St. Augustine
would be the privileging of understanding over misunderstanding.  Virtue
over Vice. Good over Evil. If he had known of the universality of
this type of error (as uncovered by Derrida) he might well have labelled
it Original Sin.
