Are you referring to Jesus saying a childlike attitude is helpful in
entering into the Kingdom of Heaven? Each of the synoptic gospels has a
passage to this effect. All three are very similar to each other and in
the King James Version the words "suffer little children come unto me" are
used. Suffer of course doesn't mean suffer as such (Augustine style) but
"allow." Nevertheless it seems to me the idea of suffering may be intended
when the phrase appears on children's tombstones.
