Yes, I agree. But I think it makes sense that Slothrop
brings this nightmare to life from the other side with his
"shiver borne" "secular or spiritual" "mortal blues. He
plays and God under the aspect of Atropos or Eddie the Agent
of History cuts and combs while the Mic cranks the handed
engine, it's a secular electric apocalypse.
Fate? What do christians know about fate, chance and luck?
Aristotle says, good fortune is one of things that
contributes to happiness, but what did those church fathers
think of that?
