Cool... I had noticed the Pirate/Mexico part of the equation (though not the
greenness of it all) but skipped right over Katje's belonging to this
freebooters' collective. (Though sadly I don't think there's any evidence that
Katje's bicycle is green.) I guess I had just been thinking the stolenness of
the vehicles was meant to emphasize the lawlessness of the Zone/ the anarchistic
(Bonnie and Clyde) leanings of the counterforce.
