Simon Newcomb

Hey all--

Simon Newcomb purportedly wrote a piece called "That Mason-Dixon Line" that 
appeared in a collection of math humor vignettes called "The Mathetmatic 
Magpie", published in 1962.  Newcomb was a member of the Royal Society and 
an astronomer (see his bio on the britannica site)

However, the M&D piece is not in that collection.  Anyone know about this or 
of Newcomb.  Thx.
