GRGR(29): Some Notes

Things to watch out for:

Toxic babyfood (p. 626) -- I bet this will pop up again in some future
episode. (Or perhaps it has already made an appearance, & I wasn't
paying attention.)

Roger and Jessica's time together is over (p. 628); it was just the war
keeping them together. Without the paranoia of the bombings, they can't
connect. Now "she'll be on the firing end" (p. 629); I reckon they're
shooting off the rockets from the Cuxhaven installation into the North
Sea. Anyone know whether this actually happened? Even without the
"orders... from higher than she can reach", though, I think they would
have drifted apart in short order.

Gloaming narrates Schleim as saying (p. 631) "They must have (assighned
an Abwehr man to Sparte IV), but I don't know if he was SD or SS... I
can remember some sort of rather thin chap with thick eyeglasses..." Any
idea who this is? Could it be Jamf, or was he already dead? And why does
Gloaming include this detail in his narration?

First paragraph on p. 632 is marvelous. The interval between the fly
"dying" and being resurrected -- I get the sense it's just a few
seconds, the lens pulls away from Roger's anger to take in the details
of the scene around him, then zooms back in for the Twelfth House scene.

The whole scene from 632-5, in Pointsman's office, I find beautiful; but
I can't really see anything to say about any piece of it -- it has to be
appreciated in its entirety. Notice how the haunted corner sort of (in
my mind anyways) links up Pointsman with Lyle Bland and the Masons. Who
might the pilot of Rózsavölgyi's airplane be?
