This Weekend on Book TV: Part One of the Henry Adams Series

Focusing on serious nonfiction and the publishing industry, Book TV airs
continuously each weekend from Saturday at 8 a.m. to Monday at 8 a.m. on
C-Span2. The following are highlights for this coming weekend:

5 p.m. The Works of Henry Adams. Part 1 of a two-part series on the life
and works of Henry Adams, the historian and author of The Education of
Henry Adams. This week, Book TV speaks with Adams biographer Patricia
O'Toole. Peter Drummey, librarian of the Massachusetts Historical Society,
showcases the many books and letters housed in the Library's collection,
including letters to Adams' wife, Clover. The program continues with
biographer Edmund Morris who discusses The Education of Henry Adams.
Concluding the program: author Brooks Simpson who offers his opinion on
Adams's efforts to exert influence on American politics (re-airs 12 a.m.).
