Maybe you did, Eric, maybe you did. Those of us in NY can say the same when 
passing any older gentleman with that certain gleam in his eye--

meeting the man would be like the two dudes entering that whorehouse at the 
end of Sentimental Journey.  A tip of the hat would be all that would be 
required, silence being so appropos.

P.S. all--Does some of the action in Melville's Confidence Man remind you a 
bit of the Anubis epsiode in GR.  What a great book CM is.
