Vivek-get the Oklahoma City University Law Review on TRP vol 24, no. 3, Fall 
1999. Email them @  okclrev at okcu.edu-pleanty of good essays and lots of good 
footnotes. Being a practitioner before the bar myself, these essays spoke to 
me in my own language albeit much to my surprise. However, like the Zen 
woodcutter, I am continuing to cut wood.
Rich-Absalom, Absalom is as good a story as ever told by as great a writer 
who ever lived. Not only have I beeen a male Southern Roman Catholic all my 
life, I was reared in New Orleans, taught school in Cajun Louisiana, and ran 
the woods in Mississippi. The book is as good as any and better than almost 
all the others. There are no better writings.
Be Homer-he's the realistic one.
Modern/postmodern. Hm, what happened to the excluded middle? Speaking of the 
excluded middle, anybody ever represent a crack ho against the state which 
wants to take her baby because the child is "in need of care"? Agree and the 
man charges you with a crime. Disagree and the man delays the entry of the 
baby into a system which, on an off day (a day for which to devoutly pray) 
might place the baby for adoption so as to avoid another future inmate of our 
prison-er, correctional system and whom the agency (a/k/a the government, her 
government, my government, your government, even you who live outside the 
good ole US of A) will not allow to say OK take my child and give it a chance 
without me having to incriminate myself? Didn't think so.
Well, off to piss off the fantail of a cabin cruiser off the Mississippi Gulf 
Coast. Hope you left a few of those young virgins for me, P. Happy 4th, ya'll.
