Jake the Hamster

[Can't Wait]

Not if you ever saw the little guy, you wouldn't be offended.  I must
say I'm getting a certain vibe here, that tells me some folks think
The Holocaust is just too good for my sweet Jake, the hamster.  Talk
about racism!  Jake and I used to go for boat rides out in the
lagoon, he'd paddle and I'd read Husserl's Logical Investigations
aloud.  You should have seen the way Jake's little whiskers, like
strings of brass in the sunlight, would twitch at the flow of
Husserl's thoughts.  Or maybe it was the wind.  Racists, too good for
my Jake!  If only you knew how he died....how he suffered....captured
from the night, from my very arms by those damned hamster nazis....

Doesn't matter, we'll make our own holocaust, him and I, a bigger and
better holocaust with just one dead, one single immortal hamster,
Jake.  My Jake.  Of course I'm writing a screenplay about it, The
Holocaust II: Don't Dis The Hamster.  It'll be shot in black and
white, and Jake, when the camera spots him scurrying through the
rubble, will be all red.
