Washington D.C. Oct. 5th, 2000 - Halliburton, the oil services 
company Dick Cheney headed until becoming a candidate for Vice 
President, helped build the notorious Yadana gas pipeline in Burma, 
EarthRights International has recently discovered. A U.S. federal 
District Court has concluded that the Yadana pipeline consortium knew 
of and benefited from forced labor and other human rights crimes 
committed by the Burmese military on behalf of the project. [snip]
