  one basic technique for this is to always check out the total of the digits of 
  each number you're confronted with. just count together & you have - since 
  each sefirah (- leaving out daath for the moment) has its number between 1 and 
  10 - a hint for the most relevant sphere. as the great quail sez, this works 
  "in the universe at large". you may start with hotel rooms, dates &   
  page-numbers ...
