Meine Damen und Herren, boys & girls, and, last but not least, yo, dudes and
dudettes,
You missed the GRGR endgame-er-party in the Big Easy. Supper at Cafe Marigny,
Cubanissmo at the House of Blues, and intelligent discussion which varied
from the usual plist because:
a) No one called another a name
b) No one hinted anyone was a Holocaust denier or something like that
c) No one thought the other deficient in humanity
d) No one really cared for at least a while about great literature-we cared
about Cubanissmo.
f) All of the above.
Kai is a huge German dude, Morris and I are little American dudes, and for
you fellow paranoids, Jane Morris and I are separated by one degree which was
unknown until last evening. How Pynchonesque!
We need more of this. The disagreements in which we engage on the list are
dissolved when you see each other. You even learn not just real names (and we
all know how IMPORTANT that is, don't we) but you encounter people, not some
virtuality. I encourage all you listers to try this out and those who have
done it to keep on keeping on.
Finally, me and Kai and David was just sittin' around the patio on a pleasant
in a tropically sort of way evening in the only Latin, Third World, Banana
Republic City in this good Ole United States of America (love it or leave
it!) and came up with the theory that reading V. is a lot like reading Harry
Potter-lots of fun, so like don't have a cow over it, dudes. Maybe it was the
night miasma of the City That Care Forgot.

Adieu and TTFN
