Yes please: let's let it slide. Noone will think any worse of either of us
than they already do, I assure you.

"Troll" is, I think, the preferred term for someone whose express intent it
is to bait participants in a cyber-discussion and thus cause upset and
disarray. Now, I don't know about you, but for insults and name calling
around here of late there has been but one real culprit. Please, at least
attempt to show some consistency. And, this troll *has* surfaced hereabouts
"even" more recently than your goodly self.

And, you see, you (repeatedly) *claiming* that I've been
> apparently deriding it (as you still do) a couple of times
> now, "vehemently,"
doesn't equal me actually *doing* this. In fact, I vehemently deny
vehemently deriding anything, and think you would find yourself hard pressed
to prove otherwise. Don't judge my level of candour and sincerity by your
own apparent lack thereof:

> but, hey, thanks for your
> interest

I don't care what you do, read, or post on; have absolutely no interest
whatsoever in what you think a discussion list should or shouldn't be, or
what you believe is a reasonable amount of time to spend in correspondence
therewith; and have never encouraged *you* in particular to read or do
anything. I don't like the way you have incessantly badgered me with your
questions, accusations and pedantry, but have tried to maintain a civil mien
and respond when a response has been called for. I would prefer to take this
sort of thing offlist but you have roundly repudiated any such strategy as
being somehow malevolent in intent.

To be honest, I'd much rather drop the whole thing. Over to you.
