This reminds me of a line William Burroughs sez on Laurie Anderson's "Home 
of the Brave" video:  Raspy voice via an old white Bell-telephone hand-set 
hanging by that curly cord all by itself (shades of telly-tubbies... ) on an 
all-black back-drop sez: "I'd rather watch this on TV...  tone's it down a 
bit...."
