You are misreadng the text. Here's the quote:
"An extraordinary chill comes over the white man. He believes, like the
Rhenish Missionary Society who corrupted this boy, in blasphemy."
Weissman is not said here to believe the missionaries committed blasphemy.
They "corrupted" Enzian by instilling Chritianity into him. The blasphemy
mentioned here is Enzian's using the name of God as the word for the sex
act.
