Bigotry (is re. Chasing ... Cutting

Again, despite the hue and cry it seems to have raised, my remark was simply
this:

> Sounds like bigotry to me. I don't believe that Pynchon is a bigot.

As another example of something which sounds like bigotry to my ears I'll
add this little compilation from yesterday:

>From: "Terrance Flaherty" <lycidas2 at earthlink.net>
>Subject: Re: Liberation? (was Re: Cutting ... )
>Date: Wed, Sep 6, 2000, 2:48 AM
>

> S&M Homo sexual sodomy, impotence, sterility, white sperm &
> black shit and TRP may have the 60s in mind, gay rights, I
> find no evidence of that

snip

I left scope for elaboration ... explanation, whatever. This, however, is
neither of those things:

> The S&M and so forth is in the book, I
> don't think it represents evil, but religion as I have
> stated a hundred times,

I've called noone a bigot, mind you, despite slander to the contrary.
