Apropos of nothing, listening to a record today and a song came on that
made me think of Pynchon. Not sure exactly why but I have a rough
idea...
So Round, So Firm, So Fully Packed
So round, so firm, so fully packed, that's my gal,
So complete from head to feet, that's my pal.
Toasted my the sun, well I'm a sonnova gun,
If she don't make my five o'clock shadow,
Come round at one.
You can bet your boots I'd walk a mile, thru the snow,
Just to see her toothbrush smile,
Mentioned on the radio --
If you don't think she's a lotta fun,
Just ask a man that owns one,
So round, so firm, so fully packed, that's my gal.
(oh jimmy,...) <break>
So round, so firm, so fully packed, that's for me,
She's just like a money back, guar, antee --
Like a boy fly goes for drink --
Like bobby sox go for pink --
And just like Jesse James would go, for money in the bank.
>From head to toe she's perfect size, she's a whiz,
Always wears a .45, gun, that is;
She's got the looks that's so impressin',
She's got the pause that's so refreshin',
So round, so firm, so fully packed, that's my gal.
<break>
She's done told me I'm top hand,
Won't be long til she wears my brand,
So round, so firm, so fully packed, that's my gal.
