Back in the 1940 American Presidential race some vag (wag) classicist
demonstrated the accepted pronunciation when he was quoted as saying
VINI, VIDI, WILLKIE. The Republican candidate that year was a prominent
GLOBALIST of the day by the name of Wendle L. Willkie.  WLW wrote a book
called "One World."
