There was, of course, prohibition.
At any rate, this argument is dodging all over the map. No one has said
anything about "indulging" LSD or even whether LSD was "well understood";
merely whether it was known about, heard of. Further, what was or was not
true about marijuana or alcohol is irrelevant to what is or is not, was or
was not, true about LSD.
Jim Wood has taken the time to explore and demolish your argument, something
he needn't have done (and not that it will shut you up), since it was
patently preposterous in the first place, using as its sample population your
mother.
