Martin was my first guess, some time ago here, but
just  doesn't quite fit in with Miles Davis, Leonard
Cohen and Serge Gainsbourg (and anyone who can quote
Boris Vian songs ["The Deserter's Song," in V.]
probably would have been hip to SG, non?).  Then
again, thing John, Paul, George and Ringo; Bingo,
Bango, Bongo and Irving; et al. ...
