 ... saw him once doing a lecture in the "lichtmess" cinema in altona ... zizek 
 showed lots of hitchcock & alien 1-3 samples, talking about psychoanalysis, 
 film and, well, the late capitalist universe in general ... best moment was 
 when he adressed us with the following: "if people ask me: what is the lacanian 
 'id'?, i say: it's very simple. look!" - & in this moment zizek, all  
 flickering eyes, turned around to the screen and pointed at a still picture  
 from "alien 2" where one can actually see the slimy black creature in the  
 spaceship's corridor - "t h i s  is the lacanian 'id'!" ... won't forget it   
 ... i like the guy ... he's completely mad ... kai
