No, I don't.
Not that I

Maybe there is room for that Albatross
after all? Or maybe, just maybe, it's not
difficult to follow, but only difficult to
respond to because it is not what you want to
read. It is in fact a very good critique.
I'm almost certain that Hollander would not respond as
you have, but would admit that the critique
is solid and that he made a mistake with his
Varo/Varro.
I've heard this particular critique

Where have you heard it before?
As far as I know, there have been no
published critiques of Hollender's
work. Is this still the case?
It's very difficult for an objective person (and I am
an objective, although a critical reader, but not a
hostile one as your tone implies) to accept that P
intends for the reader to read Varo's painting as a
"misdirection."

I made several points. On genre, I agree
with Hollander.
If it's too painful for you, there is always the
delete button.
Hollander's essays have been discussed here
for years. You have never provided Hollender with
much of anything but flattery. I'm not out to get him
or dis him or do anything untoward, but
I think an honest critical reading is a good thing for
the list.
