Do you think I've said anything on Karma so grossly out of line with what you've said below? Did I imply that anybody 'deserves' what they get? The Jews, the 9/11 victims, anybody in particular? If I did, I certainly didn't mean to. I agree wholeheartedly that karma isn't about justice or reward or retribution. I tried to make that clear. Maybe I'm not as clear as I think I am. I guess the whole point I'm really trying to make with this karma thing is how can any of us not expect awful things to happen to us (all over the world) when so many of us are running around doing such awful things to the world and one another?

Karma is an Eastern concept of cause and effect. Actions have
consequences. It is not about justice, nor reward vs. retribution.
It is not about paying debts. It is about the complex dynamic
interaction of body-mind organisms. The actions of individuals and
groups of individuals affect the actions of every other individual
and group of individuals. With the size of the global population,
the Karma is very complex and knotted. But, it doesn't have much
to do with people or groups getting what they deserve. Any more
than the eight ball deserves to be kerplunked into the corner
pocket.
