I'm afraid it may be a just ruse, a ploy, another level of finesse.
 
The intention concealed behind the concealment is up for grabs, but the 
effect, on me, is to create a desire to uncover- to lay bare- that which 
has been artfully hidden. Once the hunt is engaged it is difficult to quit. 
I don't think it just another series of well laid traps, blind alleys or 
endlessly recursive loops, however. "What does it mean that something is 
arbitrary?" comes to mind, as I think about this enigma of concealment. 
The demarcation between frames begins itself to seem arbitrary.  

One effect of concealment in the work, whatever the original intention, 
is to encourage me to elaborate- most likely more than what is really there.
