Just finished GR....

Well, I just finished GR today, and, I must admit, it was kindof a
letdown.  I felt ripped off (Ripov?) by the ending: in particular, from
Slothrop's disintegration, and the "payload" of Rocket 00000.  Anyone
care to shed some light/discuss these two topics?  I'm going to do some
more online research, like reading some of the pynchon-l archives, but
it's always nice to discuss this sort of thing, first-hand...

Oh, and what about the Schwartzcommando's (sp?) Rocket 00001?  What were
they doing with it?  What became of it?  

Just my ponderings...  Regardless, I'm glad that I have read the book -
and am certain I'll be more happy w/ the text as I further mull it
over...
