No, I'm sorry you misread me.   I did not try to make this
argument. 

And I did not offer supplementary denunciations of Buddhism
etc. 



I'm not sure what you are trying to argue about Fairing's
Parish. I agree with you earlier comments that the satire
targets the RC Church and colonial/missionary practices.
