I saw John Lennon  is going to speaking about the Crying of Lot 49.
Excellent!

Thanks everyone for the feedback about GR, a book about wa, despite it being
ridiculous.  Having taken over a year to read M & D (And not getting half of
it), who am I kidding to try and do GR justice in two months?!?  On the
other hand, GR will probably accompany me around the globe for the next five
years of my life and the archived GRGR messages will be a nice supplement, I
wish I had been here when you did M & D!

In case no one has mentioned it, this year's Twentieth-Century Lit
Conference,
U of Louisville, Feb. 22-24, will feature 4 (_four_)  Pynchon panels. And
one
of those will star a long-time member of this very list (and I don't mean
me).

there
will be at least one more panel, membership unlimited, in the Seelbach bar,
probably Thursday evening from 9:00 on, with maybe a rerun on Friday.
