Insect Trust

I bought an Insect Trust album, recorded, methinks, in '69. Bought it in
the *Psychedelic* section of a record shop in West Hollywood. Alas, it was
not the hypnotic tonic I was looking for at the time, more of a droning
folk music, with a lilting, ephemeral female singer. I wish I had held on
to it now, of course.

>The Insect Trust album is also reviewed in Robert Christgau's "Rock Albums
>of the 70s: A Critical Guide", and he also mentions Pynchon as a "guest
>composer". He gives the record an "A" grade, which with me and this very
>reliable critic means it is at least worth a listen. Unfortunately, as far
>as I know it is long deleted, and almost impossible to track down. I'd love
>some eccentric in the bowles of Rhino Records to re-issue it as a CD so I
>can get my ears on the thing.
