I've only read the excerpts you posted, but I have trouble
with the Prescient and Clairvoyant Pynchon. It's very
interesting, but wouldn't it make sense that the military
operation here is Nicaragua, the Coco would not be a slur
but a typical P allusion. The history might be at
Britannica, just kidding, but think about it and let me
know.
