I have no interest in frightening people, causing anxiety,
stress, negative paranoia.

I won't be censured. I will, however, try to edit my
postings to remove most of the playings with words, playings
off cultural ambiguities, playings with language, language
games.

We are an eclectic list serve. Communication here is
difficult. We must be careful. But what can we do to improve
list communication? To quote Paul's favorite phrase, "I
don't know."

Now, I'm simply providing a critique of those Hollander
essays.
My thesis statement has been stated:

At the very core of Hollander's misreadings of those
Pynchonian texts is paranoia.
