But the Mayor and his machine were the Chicago Democratic Party...  Daley
took a beating over that by his fellow democrats.  But I will grant that it
had little to do with political ideology... more to do with
class/age/Vietnam,,,, a whole lot of things...  but I am just sort of
looking into my Democratic Anxiety Closet.
