      'Bomb' in President Bush scare is a suitcase 

A suspicious package which saw President George W Bush evacuated from the White House was a suitcase containing personal belongings.

The case, found behind a fence in a nearby street, sparked a bomb scare and evacuation.

An automatic bomb disposal machine was called in to examine the package.

President Bush was moved for his own safety while the package was examined.

The need for security has been heightened by the President taking part in the Summit of the Americas in Quebec to discuss free trade.

Environmental protestors are expected to try to disrupt the conference.

The front of the White House was evacuated and the media moved away.
