I think one has to make certain distinctionss. Democracy, as every club, has some rules.  Some of
them have been written down.  Some are not.  Your question may be rephrased --and forgive me if I'm
wrong-- : what is the pressure a democracy can afford before it collapses?  Or, put another way: can
it be allowed that a party, whose aim it is to overthrow, or change drastically, the very system it
is operating in, seizes power?

The answer to this, I cannot provide --as usual.
