No, this is not sad at all. This is where it's at.

This is very odd! One would expect that all civil police and 
military personnel are trained to respond with overwhelming 
force to a physical attack and without any thinking or 
hesitation. There is something really odd about this. A cover 
up of what? Ah, sure. A covering up that many of the despicable 
rioters were themselves cops and agents provocateur.
