Of course you don't, but why are you defending Doug here?
You're not, you are defending your rights to
continue to participate here. To contine your
fight with Doug. You don't want a solution.
There is no way to satisfy the jbor, although
we all know he is smiling from ear to ear now.
The entire list is now doing
what jbor and Doug have been doing here for a long time.
They are responsible for making the Pynchon list the
dip-shit and Doug list. Dip-shit (now why am
I calling the jbor dip-shit?) and Doug will never
post anything honest here. Their own readings of the
texts have been so distorted by their bickering that
they can't even read the books w/o thinking of how
to bend it against the other guy.
Don't post anything that takes any thought or effort.
Don't waste your time.
I have not read a post here worth reading since Malign's
post on Imipolex G.

The texts of Thomas Pynchon are the last thing anyone
here wants to discuss.

--a Malign, you have just re-read the
Luddite essay. Howabout saying something worth while?
Instead we get, it's cranky. Before Doug replied to this
I knew he would. Now we can just go round and round about
the word cranky. Great fun!!! We are reading V. or should
I say, two of us are, but who cares about the book, it's
cranky and immature and there are a thousand books we would rather
discuss. But this is, or was, the Pynchon list.

Under my various personas, I have asked the list to
help me with some problems that anyone reading Pynchon
as much as people who spend so much time on a Pynchon list
should be, would or should be able to answer. But all
I got is Imipolex P.
