But that's not the point. In whole West Europe every member of every sect you
can imagine can do what he/she wants,as long as they don't hurt the laws. But
such "minorities" are often terrorizing their neighbours: ask the inhibitants
of little communities, villages, towns etc., where a sect has its centre. And
the Scientologists tried to infiltrate the whole economy with their own
members, they have their own secret service, a.s. o. The Scientologists are
still not forbidden in Germany, but the intelligence service
("Verfassungsschutz") is watching them. I'm absolutely sure that several
sects in the U. S. are watched by the FBI or the intelligence service. It
depends on their real behaviour. First amendment? Okay, but as we say here,
"Papier ist geduldig", paper is patient, what means: the constitution is one
thing, the reality another.
