Hey, dig this ...
http://www.centerforbookculture.org/pages/support_sale.html
I'm not so sure I should go picking up a hundred books
in one fell swoop myself, but, if anybody's
interested, I'm perfectly willing to put in a mass
order. Five bills a title, plus shipping on each
individual order (and I'll make the trip to the post
office, the UPS dropoff, whatever). Here's a list of
titles ...

Serious as a heart attack. I'm sure I can muster
quite a few titles I don't have already. And might I
suggest, say, Harry Mathews, The Conversions, which
bears some uncanny similarities to The Crying of Lot
49, depite having been published some years prior?
Leslie Fiedler, Love and Death in the American Novel?
Joseph McElroy's Women and Men is roughly 1500 pages
long, roughly 1/3 cents a page. Oh, and, of course,
do not forget ...

We could probably clean them out of these (I paid
rather moire for a used copy, myself). Alfau, Barnes,
Barth, Coover, Elkin, Gass, Hawkes, Mathews, McElroy,
Reed, Sorrentino, Stein, Zukofsky, Brooke-Rose, Green,
Huxley, Butor, Celine, Crevel, Queneau, Simon,
O'Brien, Fiedler, Gilson, Mead, Roudiez ...
I suppose I should state the usual precautions, could
use some cash up front (sorry, not equipped for
credit--I mean, I'm not in the business or anything
...), will have to let checks clear (though I'll do
this as quickly as possible), and we'll actually have
to put together a hundred book order in order to do
this, but ... but let me know, I'm up for it. E-mail
me for questions, comments, details.
And there are a few of you out there I owe (you know
who you are), so ...
