I'm new to this list and to Pynchon.  Looking forward to the
discussion of COL49.

Regarding the above statement, I'd appreciate suggestions
as to how to....prepare (?) for reading Pynchon.  Religion
has always been an interest of mine, but I'm not too up
on mythology.  Any suggestions?
