Well COL 49 is going to be fast fast fast... hope we don't miss too much.
We are also gearing up for Mason & Dixon in September.

Mythology... well...  Joseph Campbell is a good place to start.  Try _The
Hero With a thousand Faces_ .  I like Northrup Frye also... _Anatomy of
Criticism_.  Anyway... prepare all you like for Pynchon, it hasn't helped
me... I have only been on this list for six months and there are many ready
to help me out whenever I am stuck... oh... Despite the often seriousness of
this list... Pynchon is funny as hell... enjoy first... and happy to have
you on...
