Okay, this just in from my knowledgeable friend ...

"if you are asking for a recommendation- I'd say skip
it- then again, you'd best learn the hard way- rite of
passage and all.  the most painfull and typical one is
about him biting the nipple offa some gal- think it
says so on the back of the box- its really the whole
plot.  They show it about 500 times in flashbacks,
flash forwards and dream sequences and memories and
any fucking chance he can... he kept the thing in a
jar as I recall."

Actually, sounds more Robbe-Grillet than
Robbe-Grillet.  He also notes that that the video
store in question has four or five films.  Will have
to stop in once this chapter's over and I've a little
time ...
