Important -- V. Reading!!!

Pynchon List,

I have some bad news. The last few weeks have not brought good 
fortune to me -- a family member has fallen seriously ill, and I have 
also been forced into looking for a new full-time job by April 1st. 
There is, unfortunately no way I can host the next V. reading section 
-- the first part of the Mondaugen chapter, beginning March 19. I do 
not have the time or the energy, which is upsetting personally, 
because not only did I sign on for this, but it's my favorite part of 
the book.

Please accept my apologies. I hope someone can step up to the plate, 
so to speak; if not, it will have to be an "open reading." I am very 
sorry -- I was really looking forward to this!
