As they say, "It's all good."

Dave's bibliographic style is fine and is his forte, but unless one has 
access to a big library and the time to dig through all those piles of books 
those multitudes of references will just blow by.  Submission of edited text 
or synopses (which Dave also provided) are more easily digested.  I 
personally also appreciate hosts who inject their own speculations, 
questions, etc.  Emulate the model of your choice!
