Yes, I've done that. Several times. By all means make a point about it or
don't, but please try to be civil about it.

You quoted a paragraph from Eddins' book where he takes a sentence from _GR_
entirely out of context and then backs up by citing part of the parenthetic
aside which follows. I've provided my reading of the paragraph Eddins is
ostensibly discussing. In response you've descended to the level of
name-calling, invective, attempts to censure, and false accusation.

Perhaps you do need to take a break.
