Don't think I even implied a Pynchon blurb, merely a
blurb with a comparison to Pynchon (by Paul Di
Filippo, by the way). Again, also mentioned were
Spinrad, Leyner and Womack. Sorry for any
inconvenience. Though by no means brilliant, by the
way, the novel is entertaining, at least, does make a
SHROUD reference (p. 55), though more DeLillo than
Pynchon, perhaps--see obligatory pop culture studies
riff @ p. 51.--indeed, the whole thing's very
reminiscent of White Noise (university professors and
their foibles, sinister, paranoiac undertones). But I
owe you one ...
