I was attributing the 90% to Jbor actually, David. But since you mention it, has the UN really blessed this mission?  I'd have to doubt that.  But I don't have any proof, so I'll leave it at that.

I was refering to numerous US opinion polls.  I, parochial me, did not try 
to include World Opinion.  Politics is the issue, really.  Would the UN be 
the true home of "World Politics?"  Ostensibly, and that body has thus far 
blessed the US mission as their own.  Will that resolve last?  Probably not.
