I'm of the opinion that no further remakes of King Kong should occur as,
after the excellent original, it's been a steep downhill slope ever since.
Jackson's script does look very interesting, though. I couldn't find the
script for Planet of the Apes, though. Any pointers? Can't say I was very
impressed by Tim Burton's remake, so..in answer to your question, I guess
LOTR would probably be my pick. Not that I'm that excited about seeing the
LOTR series, but: a) I'm sure it will be entertaining b) I can't think of
anyone else who could get away with it c) biiiiiig boost to the NZ economy
and d) the trailers look pretty good. Personally, the film I AM hanging out
for is Wong Kar-Wai's probably-never-to-be-completed 2046 (which once was to
have featured the sublime casting of Bjork as an androgynous android
bartender...) Speaking of WKW...
