first confirmed casualties

Hey "Morris", you'll like this -- I just heard on the radio that among the
first confirmed civilian casualties in Afghanistan are 4 UN landmine
clearing experts, killed in their office near Kabul.

Too bad you won't have pictures of this to play with:  little kids running
out into the mine fields, scrambling to get one of those "humanitarian"
meals the U.S. is dropping along with the bombs, and getting blown to
bloody bits.

I stand in awe of people who are  certain that the Evil is contained on the
Other side and can be eliminated with bombs and missiles.
