blaming Clinton

Well, if you had been following independent journalism the past decade and
more, you'd know that the Clinton Administration got a thorough going-over,
in addition to the relentless trashing by the U.S. corporate media
(Whitewater-Monica-younameit).  A hallmark of the
progressive/Green/activist movement in the U.S. is that it rightly sees
little difference between Democrats and Republicans.

I thought it quite sad to see so many people trying to put the blame on
Clinton for the  911 attacks -- especially considering that the alliance
between the U.S. and Saudis which appear to lie at the heart of the Islamic
fundamentalist complaint dates back many decades.  And, of course, the
U.S.-led sanctions and continued bombing in Iraq which have led to hundreds
of thousands of civilian casualties over the past decade were instituted by
Bush pere, whose CIA escapades may well play a role going even farther back
than that.
